Sir Cedrics Glow Worm Cottages

Sir Cedrics Glow Worm Cottages is a purpose built complex offering travellers and adventurers modern and affordable accommodation in self contained Studio units with a "cottage style decor" in the heart of Franz Josef.

This warm, clean and comfortable accommodation has a range of alternatives from compact double / twin studio Motels to backpacker double, twin, or dorm rooms. We have 14 "flash packer" units sleep 4-5 with own bathroom, TV and kitchenette and these are popular with families or groups of independent travellers. Walking distance to all bars, restaurants, supermarket, post office and activity pick up points as well as a short stroll to view the glow worms at night or enjoy the Glacier Hot Pools set in the midst of the Rainforest.

Glow Worm Cottages are located close to the spectacular Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers which are nestled amongst rainforest on the rugged West Coast of New Zealand where lakes, rivers, forests and beaches are part of an untamed wilderness. This awe inspiring area of South West New Zealand, where the glaciers cut through dramatic glacial valleys to flow into temperate rainforest almost to sea level, has been given World Heritage Park status.
