We provide, for your guests a workstation (kiosk) with computers, high quality desks and all signage & instructions.  All computers have LCD screens and are installed with email & Internet services and WindowsXP.

 

 

 

The workstations can operate in 2 ways ...

 

 

Coin Operated Systems:

Coin payment is recognised as a very functional payment method.  Coins are usually handy or available, even when the reception is closed.  Experience has shown that our Internet Sites are at their highest use during the late evening and early morning when the receptions may often be closed.

 

PIN-card Systems:

Ideal for sites where reception is open 24/7 such as hotels or sites that close each night such as café's, restaurants / bars and tourism sites.  One of the advantages of the PIN card system is that you have more flexibility in charging rates.  PIN cards also allow clients in a particular chain of accommodation to use their cards throughout the chain - this option is operational and hugely successful in the YHA chain.

 

 

       Wireless:

 

Wireless technology allows guests with their own laptops to use the Internet without needing to physically connect the computer to an ADSL line. When your guest turns on their laptop, it automatically detects our network and they follow the simple instructions to purchase time using their credit card.

 

Guests can purchase time in blocks ranging from 1 hour to 1 month.  They can log on and off as many times as they like within this time period.

 

The signal strength is sufficient to easily provide good coverage to entire campgrounds, although each site needs to be assessed.  Coverage in hotels / motels & backpackers is dependent on building construction materials and site layout, but there are plenty of options.
