Where is the wireless icon?

• The wireless icon is in your taskbar, which is located at the bottom right-hand side of the
screen (Windows), or at the top right-hand side of the screen (Mac).

• You may need to open the wireless connection manually to view the available networks. Go to:

- (Windows XP) Start - All Programs - Accessories - Communications - Network - Connections

- (Windows Vista) Start - Connect to

- (Mac) Apple - System Preferences - Network

 

I can't see the ‘iac' network/ my signal strength is low

• Try turning your wireless device off and on again, and wait for a few minutes

• The signal may be low in your area, so try moving to a different area of the property/ building. You will have the best signal when you have line of sight with the wireless antenna, usually located on the top of the reception or amenities building

 

The iac network is listed as ‘unsecure'

• Hotspot networks are always listed as unsecure as they require no password to allow you to join them

 

What are the time/data plans I can purchase, what is the cost, & how do I pay?

• Plans ranging from 1 hour to 1 month are available. Click on "Credit Card Registration" and this will bring up the full list of plans

• You can pay by credit card on line or purchase a PIN card at participating sites

 

How do I log in with a PIN card?

• Click on "PIN Registration" and complete the login there

I'm running out of time/ data but I'm not finished yet
• Just click on credit card refill or PIN card refill and top up your account on line

 

Where else can I find iac EasyNet Hotspots

• Follow the free link on the login page that says, "Hotspot Locations" this will show you our 200+ sites nationwide

 

Why do I keep getting bounced back to the log on page?

• If you are logged out continuously after logging in please check data cap in "Manage account" tab on login page

• Check error message - if it is "username or password invalid", try re-entering
NB: Username and password cannot contain the ‘ & ‘ symbol

 

Why can't I send emails?

• Smtp server for sending pc-based emails will be smtp.vodafone.co.nz or smtp.xtra.co.nz.
If neither of these work check our website for specific site setup.

 

How much data or time do I have left?

• You can check this on the login page under "Manage Account"

 

How do I log off?

• Follow instructions on the log in page or

• Disconnect from the hotspot or

• Type http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar and you will be returned to the logout page

• If you forget to log off the system automatically logs you off after 10 minutes of inactivity

• Turn off your laptop

 

How do I contact the iac support team?
